Wenjian Wang, Doctor of Engineering, Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor, from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China.
He is the academic leader of the Sichuan University Scientific Research and Innovation Team of “High speed and heavy load wheel rail relationship and service behavior” and the academic and technological leader in Sichuan Province. His research interests include wheel/rail damage behavior and control technology, adhesion mechanism and control technique of wheel/rail interface, toughening technology of wheel and rail materials and application, and laser strengthening and additive manufacturing technology for key components. He has established the international advanced experimental evaluation technology system for high-speed wheel/rail rolling fatigue and wear coupling damage.
He has headed over 10 projects including the national key R&D program intergovernmental key items for international scientific and technological innovation cooperation, national natural science foundation of China (3 projects), Sichuan key R&D program, etc. He has published over 160 academic papers, 1 monograph and 2 textbooks. He received the National Young Talent title, the first prize of natural science of the ministry of education (rank 2), first prize of Sichuan science and technology progress award (rank 3), Sichuan youth science and technology award, excellent doctoral thesis of Sichuan province, special prize of ZHAN Tianyou railway science and technology award, high-impact academic paper of China Surface Engineering, etc.
Besides, he is the executive member of the council of Sichuan Mechanical Engineering Society, chairman of the Tribology and Surface Engineering Committee of Sichuan Province, member of Sichuan Provincial Machinery Standardization Technical Committee, etc.
